Common Questions

How Do I Reserve My Puppy?

To reserve a puppy, please complete a Puppy Application,

We will then schedule a call to ensure the best fit for you and your puppy.

After your application is approved, a deposit of $500 will secure your slot in the litter of your choice. Slots are assigned in the order deposits are received. You can mail a check, or we accept payments through Paypal, Venmo and Zelle which may include an additional service fee. Let us know if you will be using one of those services and we will send you an invoice.

Your slot is not reserved until the deposit is received - your slot determines the order in which you select your puppy from the litter.
RMAL reserves the right to retain any puppy (or puppies) from a litter for use as a future breeder.

How and When Do I Pay?

The deposit it required to secure your slot with a litter. The sooner we receive the deposit the higher you will be in the picking order. The balance of the puppy fee will be due when they are 6 weeks old.

What Should I Expect While Waiting for my Puppy?

As you wait for your puppy, you'll be kept informed of their development and provided resources to help you accommodate your new arrival.

You can expect the following:

  • Several emails updating the progress of the breeding, pregnancy and birth of the puppies.

  • Between 2-4 weeks of age, the puppy photos will be updated on the “Available Puppies“ page.

  • At about 5 weeks old, you will receive an email with the puppy pick up schedule, information about puppies, recommended reading and what you may wish to do, or purchase, to prepare for your puppy. Final invoices will be issued and the balance is due before the puppy is picked up.

  • The puppies will visit the vet for a health exam between 7-8 weeks old.  They will also get their microchip and first set of vaccinations at this time.

  • Puppies will go to their new homes on a predetermined date at approximately 8 weeks old. Families will be scheduled for pick up on a weekend day in the order their deposits were received.  Using your input, and our observations of the litter and daily handling of the individual puppies, we will help each family decide on the appropriate puppy for them. If you cannot pick up your puppy when the litter goes home there is a charge of $30 per day for boarding.

  • When you pick up the puppy, you will receive a puppy pack which contains:

    • Sample of Life's Abundance food and treats
